Reviews
Lucybespro It is a performances centric movie
filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Clarissa Mora The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
PimpinAinttEasy I re-watched Kudumba Puranam on TV recently. It is a family drama directed by Sathyan Anthikad - the master of family dramas. While not as funny as Thalayana Manthram or Pon Mutta Idunna Tharavu, Kudumba Puranam was reasonably engaging. The miserly antics of Balachandra Menon and Sreenivasan as the drama actor makes this film worth a watch. New generation Malayalis might find the film to be quite old fashioned with regard to the the attitudes of the male characters towards the females of the family. Thilakan turns in an effortlessly brilliant performance as always. It is a simple film that propagates simple ideas about families. Parvathi looked very beautiful. Maniyan Pillai Raju as the Gulf returned Malayali also deserves a mention.
