Reviews
PlatinumRead Just so...so bad
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Erica Derrick By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
bradshaw3-1 I saw this film at the 2004 Secret City Film Festival in Oak Ridge, Tennesse. I must say this is one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. This film has made me want to visit Kill Devil Hills and learn all I can about the Wright Brothers. The film went beyond the invention to the histories and personalities of the brothers. We get a glimpse of their relationships with co-workers, and the North Carolina locals. The audience experiences the family dynamics and personal struggles that let the young inventors to continue against the odds in a race to invent that resulted in death for many of their competitors. The film also explains what happened after the experiments at Kitty Hawk, mentioning the impact of the airplane in commerce and war. We also learn a bit about the Wright Brothers' personal lives in the latter years of their lives.
