Reviews
Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
TeenzTen An action-packed slog
Lachlan Coulson This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
Payno I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
SnoopyStyle Paige (Daveigh Chase) and Tayler York (Melanie Scrofano) are bickering sisters. Paige has a disturbing love for married men. It doesn't help that their criminal dad commits suicide right after the girls refuse to support his latest scheme. Paige is haunted by discovering both her mother and her father's suicides. University medical student Paige takes a liking to new professor Dr. Lucas Emery (Rick Roberts). He needs help with his disabled wife Gabby and young daughter Amy.Daveigh Chase will always be Samara to me. She's had a few good child roles but generally has struggled to distinguish herself as a grown up actress. The shocking part in this movie is that she's blonde. She's still pretty cute but the acting has not advanced. This could be a juicy acting role as a deranged maneater but she's not wild enough. The movie moves too slowly and she's barely trying to seduce Lucas. The slow takeover has its appeal but it has no spice. This could have spiced things up by the Emerys having a teen boy in lust for the new helper. This is a Lifetime TV movie and doesn't get beyond that.
kapelusznik18 ****SPOILERS*** All messed up in the head due to her dad Cameron York,Rob Stewart, blowing his brains out and mom Sophia, Allison Brennan, dying of a drug overdose young pre-med student Paige York, Daveigh Chase, has had it bad all these years. But now in meeting her new teacher famous brain surgeon the Dr. Ben Carson like and handsome Dr. Lucas Emery, Rick Roberts, she feels he'll be her ticket out of the miserable life that she been living for the last 23 years. The thing that's keeping her from fulfilling that crazy dream of hers is Lucas' wheelchair bound wife Gabby, Sydney Penny, whom the good doctor not only loves but is dedicated to her through sickness as well as health never to leave her side or, this really hurts, see or get involved with another woman even a hot dish like Paige. Still determined to make him hers Paige gets Lucas to hire her to look after Gabby which opens the door to her getting rid of her permanently. First getting friendly with Dr. Emery's young daughter Amy, Grace Zanichkowsky, as insurance she plans to take Gabby out by inducing her to have a fatal heart attack with drugs that she stole from out the collage medical lab. With Gabby now out of the way Paige now plans to get Gabby's grieving husband Lucus to put his head on her shoulder and marry her! Or so she thought!***SPOILERS*** It's in fact Paige's recovering alcoholic sister Tyler,Melaine Scrafano, who soon realizes what she's been up to and tries to get her to stop only to become her next victim. As for Lucas his rejection of Paige leads to him being suspended from his job in her, under the radar, accusing him of making improper sexual advances towards her. It's when Paige is set up by Lucas and the police in a sting, where she confessed her love for him as well as murdering Gabby, that the walls came tumbling down on her. Now all along and facing life behind bars or in a mental institution Paige plunges a knife through her body but with Dr. Emery on the scene is saved from bleeding to death. Even though normally he'd let her bleed to death, in all the damage she did to him and his wife Gabby, Dr. Emery's couldn't just let Paige die! When as a doctor he was sworn and dedicated to save human lives even hers!
wes-connors Following the sudden death of her father, pretty blonde med student Daveigh Chase (as Paige York) becomes attracted to her older, still attractive university professor Rick Roberts (as Lucas Emery). Most appropriately, Ms. Chase's educational focus is on psychiatry. From the opening scenes, Chase demonstrates a need for psychiatric help. Fortunately for fans of psycho-driven "Lifetime" TV movies, Chase doesn't get help. To get closer to Mr. Roberts and bring home the bacon, Chase takes a job at the older doctor's luxurious estate. She's going to help his sickly wife Sydney Penny (as Gabby), who has multiple sclerosis...The Emery estate looks like it would need a large staff to manage, especially with Ms. Penny in a wheelchair and her husband working. Their cute young daughter Grace Zanichkowsky (as Amy Emery) seems capable, but would need some training. Probably, we see Chase working there on the other workers' day off. Mainly, obsessed Chase makes drinks for her beloved teacher's wife. This means trouble. The scenes between Chase and her "rival" Penny lack suspense. Melanie Scrofano (as Tayler York) does well in her role as Chase's alcoholic sister. It's a secondary role, but Ms. Scrofano's character is the most interesting.**** Killer Crush (4/4/15) Anthony Lefresne ~ Daveigh Chase, Rick Roberts, Melanie Scrofano, Sydney Penny
weavergwen I was really enjoying this movie. It was very interesting, until the end. I felt that the movie should have added something to let people know what happened in finding Paige's sister. Maybe there should be a sequel. The acting in this movie was very good. I would have liked to have seen some flashback on Paige's breakdown after her mother died. Her sister should have had more into this movie. After her father committed suicide, there should have been more emphasis on her addition to alcohol. Also, I think there should have been more about the Doctor's wife in the previous years. The little girl was excellent and adorable. There would have been more mystery if the daughter suspected Paige as being too pushy with her mother. It would have been more interesting if Gabby questioned her husband about sleeping so much.In summary, the overall movie was great! I loved the actors. The end of the movie was short, but overall I liked it.
