It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review

Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

I, like most others had a different opinion about the movie. I appreciate music and "Maiyya Yashoda" being a music marvel created my interest to view the movie. Few weeks back, I watch the song on my Phone through youtube and got the link for the FULL movie. Dark room, Night and having wife and kid sleeping, I started the movie with my Bose headphones ON and could not stop myself watching it till end. The story line is very different but very well directed. Scenes are well chosen and situation well crafted. Much different than most of Hero/Heroine centric bollywood movie with overdose of emotions. Movie is based out of London with John, a shy and nerd guy got into situation and he starts lying with his phone friend. Things change they meet with Pakhi not knowing that John is same Phone friend. Ragu and Alishka are Awesome in the movie with Alishka having Urdu acsent and sayings... A MUST WATCH Dear friends when you are in light mood and enjoy with friends....

This looks really promising on the DVD cover - it makes you expect a feel-good comedy along the lines of beauty and the geek. WRONG.It fails to get the potential out of a great idea - a team of volunteers that help suicidal people via their 'Dost India' helpline. Its flaws are many - most notably being a very poor lead actress alongside an equally poor cast with the exception of Abraham. I honestly think a quality actress could have saved this but Pakhi is just not up to the job here.I would say that this is mostly a bad film, but does entertain in places, offers a slightly new, quirky subject for Indian audiences and does manage to wrap things up with a decent ending. A lukewarm 5/10

Before watching this movie I spent some time going through the reviews online and decided not to watch. But my wife really wanted to see a Bollywood movie and since this was the only one playing in the theater near-by, we decided to give it a shot.Boy am I glad I watched this movie. I was having a hard time controlling my laughter. The storyline is really original and the acting is super. Pakhi, who has played the role of lead actress, has been wonderful. She has handled the emotional scenes without getting too melodramatic. John Abrams is great also. He is very natural without any over acting. This movie has a western overtone (live in relationships, pre-marital sex) and that is probably why it has not been accepted in India. But if you are looking for two and a half hours of clean fun with no "rona-dhona" and drama do go and watch this movie.

Well Well Well...Abbas Tyrewala scores again , not a hard as the previous one (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na) but certainly no less , the movie is what you'll call a light hearted sweet, cute , emotional romantic comedy the moves around a Helpline in London "Dost India" which works for the people of India settled in London who are in a state of frustration and are about to do something wrong with there life..mistakenly the "Dost India" Corp prints out Sidharth (John Abraham's) number as there helpline no. it is when Sid agrees to take the calls of those people in dire need to b motivated that he comes across Mishka (Pakhi) and helps her out the same way..both of them get close and "Sid" falls in love with her..but he has hidden his identity of being the guy on the phone and being the one in real life "Will Sid get his love in spite of the millions of "Jhooth" he has already said ? tats what the story is about..Talking about the performances everyone right from John to Pakhi , from Raghu to Anitha Nair..everyone is brilliant.. R. Madhavan n Nandita Sen are cool in there cameo's would have rated it a bit more if "A.R Rehman's" music would have been more catchy all u remember is "Cry Cry" when u come out of the TheatersMust Watch :)
