NipPierce Wow, this is a REALLY bad movie!
Interesteg What makes it different from others?
BootDigest Such a frustrating disappointment
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Gypsi Bates Jai (Salman Khan) is an ordinary man with a desire to help others. He formulates a plan in which, instead of saying "thank you" for a kind act, the recipient will vow to help three others, telling them to do the same. In helping others, Jai crosses the local political family, starting a feud. This is a serious and violent drama with a most positive message, encouraging the doing of good, and celebrating the power of the common man. It is an engrossing film, with an exceptionally good supporting cast. Khan wears the same serious face throughout most of the movie, and does little acting other than action, but that doesn't lesson the film. The music is good, the choreography nice, and the costumes often beautiful. Overall, this is an intense, yet feel-good film, in the best Bollywood style.
Asharful Haque Salman Khan the biggest Superstar in Bollywood nowadays gave an excellent performance in this movie... There was a very strong message for the people... And if bhaijaan lovers follow the message then there will be a lot of change for the good in the society.... I think everyone should see this movie to understand that a common man can make the difference if he wishes to...
binducherungath Please watch Jai Ho (जय हो) only if you are a die-hard fan of Salman Khan. Otherwise, this movie is a great disappointment as far as the plot of the movie, direction, story, screenplay are concerned. It is a fact that Salman has been a great mass puller with his Dabbang / Bodyguard / Wanted moves, but he may probably not be able to repeat his success. Salman Khan is playing the role of an ex-army officer, Jai Agnihotri. He wants to create a better nation. The effort was to convey that even an ordinary single human being can be a change catalyst and create a national stir for positive change. But the whole message gets diluted with the way it has been handled. I wish, at least a particular social issue could have been focused upon. There were lot of instances of Salman being a good Samaritan, but it seemed too superficial, it is tough to identify with the character. It lacked the flavor of country's present political scenario. We have seen enough of Salman's one-man action sequences which are there in this as well, added with Salman's bites or roars. Riya Agnihotri (Salman's Sister played by Tabu) is unconditional in her love towards her brother and has got good amount of screen time. It is always a pleasure to watch Tabu perform, but she doesn't have to do much. Daisy Shah has definitely given some good dance moments, and also, she has screen presence, but her role has not been sketched out properly. And there are a list of actors (get breathless): Nadira Babbar, Danny Denzongpa, Daisy Shah, Sana Khan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Aditya Pancholi, Mohnish Behl, Mukul Dev, Ashmit Patel, Yash Tonk, Nauheed Cyrusi, Bruna Abdullah, Genelia, Vikas Bhalla, Sunil Shetty, Santosh Shukla, Pulkit Samrat and many more They come and go without actually being able to make a remarkable impact upon the audience. Too many characters are introduced. Background score by Sandeep Shirodkar is good. 'Tere Naina maar hi daalenge' is also good. Other songs by Sajid-Wajid are average. Sets during the dance sequences are huge and presentable. Is this going to be a 'Jai Ho' at box office ?
guddu-1387 There is no iota of doubt that Salman Khan prefers larger than life characters which boasts his machismo and mass appeal. Its the sole reason why audience drool and repeatedly cash in to see his persona in the multiplexes. This film needless to say packed every other element where he continues to retain his charisma , I mean we have Salman bhai playing an honest expelled army men frustrated with the corrupt administrator's way of governance , we have a good family comprising of a mother , brother in laws, sister in law , a supportive sister and a insolent cousin. Sohail Khan gives enough space to this family rejoicing and share their feelings to each other ,there are moments where we see them troubled and Salman's effort to be the caretaker of the family . The baddies are lazy police officers , Minister's dictatorial son in law and the minister himself ; Danny plays the main antagonist who after a violent spat between his son in law and Salman threatens to destroy him and his family. The story mainly focuses on influencing people to help others in the midst of all these ruckus .A systematic way of forwarding your deed to three people and so forth thus forming a chain of thousands of people helping each one. Performances; especially Salman Khan at the verge of 50 years can't be said that he "sleepwalks" or cannot act , i mean there can't be no smoke without fire. Newcomer Daisy Shah is good and she did induced humor at her part ,of the ensemble cast Mahesh Thakur deserves credit as the loudmouth cousin , rest of the cast play their part just for the sake . Music is soothing but not the level that it should have . The film is made in true to its fans style , it's entertaining , it's educative and above all it reflects the contemporary mindset of frustrated Aam aadmi thwarting the government . At the end i would say one word to Salman bhai ... Keep it coming.
