Lack of good storyline.

Watch something else. There are very few redeeming qualities to this film.

Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.

One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.

A remake of the Kurosawa film - High and Low (1963). Technically the movie is above par in terms of contemporary Bollywood junk during that period but nevertheless if you want drama and the brilliance of Kurosawa, see the original. The only redeeming feature of the film was of course Helen and the song Mungla Mungla.

This is a superb movie. very well directed, fast paced with only 3 songs to break the pace. It was ahead of it times and would make for a great remake. The acting by Vinod Khanna,Shriram Lagoo and Amjad Khan is noteworthy. The background score is really good and adds to the tension. The camera work is also good. the stunts are pretty good.the romantic angle could have been done away with because it adds nothing to the storyline and introduces a useless romantic number to slacken the pace of the movie.Vinod Khanna plays his macho image well while Amjad Khan is great in his negative roleA real thriller in every sense. A must watch

It was way back 1977 and i saw this movie about 5 times in a week. It is one of the best Thrillers.Vinod Khanna and Amjad Khan are at their BEST. Director Raj N Sippy keeps you at edge of the seat through out the movie. It has Passion Love Dedication and the Plot for becoming a Super Hit movie. Vinod Khanna is great, if he would not have taken Sanyas with Osho, it would be he who will be on KBC Today. And to top it all Mungada by Helen. The Driver's Son is rescued by the Business man with the money he gets as a Loan, conflict between Business ethics and humanity. This is a Must Watch Movie if you are Movie Buff.

This film contains the surprise hit song Mungda Mungda which is picturised on Helen and sung by Usha Mangeshkar (her biggest hit to date) The song is such a crowd pleaser that it is still one of the most popular songs to date. It is still heard everywhere from Radio, TV, parties and is still being re-mixed constantly. What looks like a front bench crowd pleaser song, instantly became a hit with the masses. I don't think there is anyone in India that doesn't recognise this song. When played, people can be seen to wolf whistle and get up and dance to it.Well worth watching just for this iconic number. The film, on the whole, is also quite good. Well worth a watch.
