NekoHomey Purely Joyful Movie!
TeenzTen An action-packed slog
Merolliv I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
Edwin The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
mikeandpeg I was fortunate to view the film in a quaint theater as part of the Palm Beach Film Festival in 2006-- the real bonus was knowing that many of the crew were in the audience and acting as ushers at the event. They were students from then a fledgling G-Star School of the Arts (1 of a kind high school that had just started in Palm Beach Co.) The film was more than just a movie for them, they saw the behind the scenes come to life on the screen and the meaning of life unfolded. What an intense and meaningful film for all ages. I really wanted to see it on the big screen, but look forward to owning a copy and sharing the film and its message. Dan and co. were just wonderful and should be applauded for writing, directing & producing this film. The actors were right on and showed Palm Beach in a realistic yet funny way. Most films lack meaning--not Victoria--there is a message for all.
leisyka I was lucky enough to see this movie in a private screening. I laughed, I cried and fell in love with the characters. Funny, poignant and beautifully acted. See Hiding Victoria because it is one of the most lovely coming of age stories of our time and because it is unmissable and unforgettable. Eloquently written, produced and directed, we see a troubled teen evolve in front of our eyes. Anita Gillette gives an award winning performance as the big hearted Althea. Margo Harshman as Victoria is hard to take at first but it doesn't take long until you feel her pain and struggle right along side her. This is a movie to watch more than once!
aronchak My wife and I viewed this film at a private screening. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. It was serious, funny, heart-warming, and surprising. Great performances by all of the lead actors. Special kudos to the young actress who plays Victoria. The writer creates an awesome and unique storyline that anyone with trials and issues during life can relate to. The film draws you in will an exceptional ability to keep you engaged. I especially loved the the surprise revealed towards the end of this film. I understand the film was independently produced. But don't let that dissuade you from seeing this movie. Both my wife and myself are looking forward to seeing this film again on the big screen. My bet ... this movie is going to be a hit!
fgsltwthghobsj316 I saw Hiding Victoria in a focus group and it was AMAZING! I laughed, I cried, and was amazed by the acting and the twist at the end of the movie! It was AWESOME! Margo & Anita, and Todd, Michael & Avery were superb! Great movie! Can't wait to see it in the theater! The plot was so applicable for so many people in the world. This movie has something for everyone! Margo's tattoo was so cool and Anita Gillette was so wonderful as Althea. I loved them both! Todd & Michael (Vincent & Lenny) as the next door neighbors were great. They provided some comic relief and were great characters. Avery (Sarah) was perfect as Victoria's probation officer. The cinematography was beautiful. A message full of hope. The movie is right, the key to life lies within!
