Reviews
Linbeymusol Wonderful character development!
StunnaKrypto Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.
DipitySkillful an ambitious but ultimately ineffective debut endeavor.
Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Leofwine_draca END CALL is a dreadful little Japanese horror film inspired by Miike's ONE MISSED CALL. The story is about a telephone call which takes you right through to the Devil himself, who grants wishes but curses you at the same time. I was expecting a proper ghost story, but this turns out to be a low budget indie which simply doesn't have the budget to achieve anything convincingly. All you're left with is dull and gloomy greyed-out photography and a handful of set-piece sequences, the best of which happens at the outset and features a guy brushing his teeth with a razor rather than a toothbrush. The rest? Forgettable tosh, I'm afraid.
artpf This movie was pretty hard to watch. The premise is silly -- the devil has a phone number -- yes a phone number -- wonder if it's a landline or cell? If you call him at a specific time he grants a wish but controls you until the end of the call!Where did that one come from? It's the worst premise ever. How do you get the number? Is the devil listed? Does he text?OMG, it's so dumb.I will say that it's well acted and directed but there is no way to get over the initial premise which cannot leap over the disbelief of what you are about to see.So all I will say is, if you want to watch a movie where a guy brushes his teeth until he dies, this is for you.
