Blending excellent reporting and strong storytelling, this is a disturbing film truly stranger than fiction

Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

first, a homage of childhood in the frame of contemporary family crisis. the second, nice way for remind a fascinating character. sure, not high expectations. but a nice result. because it has the science to use, in decent manner, old themes in refreshing way. the imaginary friend, the adventure, the clash between different visions, the importance of fundamental values, the success and the generosity. short, one of many German children comedy. with same form of charm and with the same smart recipe. and, sure, with the status of good lesson about important things. so, a comedy for children. not extraordinary . but really lovely entertainment.

D.Quixote is not easy to understand, better yet, to feel, why it is so famous. So far, in the movies, and on stage, to my concern, the best realization of the immortal creation of Cervantes was Man of La Mancha, with Peter O'Toole and Sophia Loren, over the Broadway play. This German production deserves to be considered in the same category and the main reason is that it makes clear on a modern and plausible environment what Cervantes meant. And, as if happens in the play and the movie Man of La Mancha, the lines Cervantes puts in D.Quixote's mouth, have the same effect to came loud and clear and hit your senses as a light ray from a bright sun where some conscience emerges in us.

not impressive. not bad. only common story about crisis in a family, parents far from children and a childhood hero as key of all. few drops of love story, a trip, discovery of small things importance. nothing complicated. short - a honest movie for family. or only remember of the important role of golden age for understand reality. few beautiful images and not extraordinary performance. a story like a holiday book on beach. elements of humor and emotions, two different cultures and a very small homage to Don Quijote. nothing more. its virtue - it is fresh and springlike. fundamental sin - it is just nice, so it is difficult to criticize it. but the wind turbines is only memorable thing. fact who is not, probably, so bad.
