Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Abegail Noëlle While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
Isbel A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Amy Adler Tweenager Daniel has just lost his mother. His father is so distraught that he is throwing himself into his work, mostly. Worst of all, the family's Borzoi dog is so despondent for the lady of the house that he escapes to the cemetery and lays on her grave, time and again. Thinking it will be for the best, Daniel's father gives the dog to a trainer in order to find a suitable new home. Daniel begins to stir up trouble, too, at school and in the neighborhood, with the help of his two best friends. This disappoints his dad greatly. To help keep him focused, everyone agrees to let Daniel help out at the trainer's kennel. Once there, he helps dogs that are part of a circus-type dog show that circulates in the area. One dog, a temperamental Jack Russell Terrier named Gypsy, relates to Daniel very well. Can this dog help Daniel make it back to a normal kid's life? This movie is a good film for families, especially those who love animals. The actors are quite good and the dogs very, very lovable. Nevertheless, the slow pace of the film and its meandering story lines may require patience. Perhaps a showing of the film in two parts would be best. However, do seek out the movie if you are always on the prowl for sweet, non-objectionable family flicks. While not super, this film is still a nice choice for most audiences.
clearlygod Superdogs! This is one of my daughter's favorite movies. It's a movie that entertains your little one's and yet keeps the interest of adults, so you can all enjoy a movie together. I appreciated that it was a clean, cute, movie with lots of fun-filled action. It's sad but there aren't very many movies that the whole family can enjoy together without having violence and bad language, so this is a great Family Movie. Gypsy is the cutest little thing, we all fell in love with him... and Daniel.Give it a try, We watch it all the time!
jackpark91 This movie "Danel and the Superdogs(Enlish Version)" & "Daniel et le Superdogs(French Version) was taken mostly in the city of Montreal ,Quebec. This movie features French Canadian Actors/Actreses such as: Claire Bloom(Claire Martin), Wyatt Bowen(William English Version), Matthew Harbour(Daniel), William Phan(Colin) and so on.The movie is about mainly friendship, Daniel(Matthew Harbour) in the movie loses his mother and he has a dog who was so attached to Daniels mother that it wouldn't eat and such so Daniel sold his dog, Daniel tries to get through school with his friends William(Wyatt Bowen) and Collin(William Phan). So yeah thats mainly what the movies about.I personally liked the movie because it had a nice story line and it isn't a high budget Hollywood Movie, and was shot in the nice city of Montreal. I guess it was a sad movie never the less it doesn't keep you sappy there are funny moments in the movie as well. HA HA there is this one part where Daniel and his friends are sitting in a diner as William is talking about a movie that he saw then Clair bought a ice cream sundae for William and dumped salt all over it because William put a frog in her desk at class and then William eats it then literally gets sick. Not to mention it had a friend of mine in the movie Wyatt Bowen and if you think thats hard to believe then fine, its your opinion right? Anyways thats all I have to say about this wonderful movie.
