The greatest movie ever made..!

Slow pace in the most part of the movie.
TrueHello
Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

Joline (Heather Graham) live in New York with her friends and her husband Carl (Luke Wilson). He's an unhappy photographer and leaves her. On a whim, she sets off for Texas. She finds him working in an El Paso paper and decides to help him from afar. She is befriended by his flirtatious neighbor Niko (Goran Visnjic). Then she finds that Carl has new girlfriend Carmen (Patricia Velásquez) who has jealous ex T-Bo (Mark Ruffalo). Joline's brother Jay (Casey Affleck) comes to take her home but she continues to try to help Carl.Heather Graham is a compelling actress. This movie starts with an idea to be a wacky left-of-center comedy. The writing is flat and the movie never gets there. It doesn't have the jokes. It doesn't have the irreverent fun. Graham is left to carry the weight by herself. There are many solid actors but they don't have anything interesting to do.

Joline (Heather Graham) sets out after her husband Carl (Luke Wilson) who disappeared to clear his head about himself and their marriage. Joline, who is committed to their marriage starts her journey to find Carl, yet on the way discovers a lot about herself. On her trip she encounters a bountiful of interesting characters who unknowingly help her find her way.In my eyes this is a classical road movie, which moves just at the right pace (some viewers may find it too slow). Throughout the movie it keeps its humorous note while Joline responds to the craziness of the world around her with a warm, knowing, sometimes sad smile. All actresses and actors give wonderful performances and the musical score is immaculate. 9/10

"Committed" is all about Graham as an irrepressible optimist who goes in search of her self-estranged husband who has gone in search of himself which all leads to a sort of kookie, upbeat comedic odyssey involving a bunch of side characters and issues. A fresh, fun, and unpredictable little flick, what "Committed" lacks in story it makes up for in good naturedness and subtle morals and maxims. If you enjoy this little chick flick, which received slightly above average reviews by critics and public alike, you might want to check out Lisa Krueger's hit Indie "Manny & Lo" (1996). (B)

Horrible waste of talent. Not even worth watching when there is absolutely nothing else to do. My hope against hope is that the actors at least got paid well. Anyway, if you're a fan of Heather's or Luke's, you'll be really disappointed by this big budget student film.
