Thehibikiew Not even bad in a good way
Taraparain Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
KnotStronger This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
Mabel Munoz Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?
TheLittleSongbird Never been a fan of found footage movies, and while Closed Circuit Extreme is not the absolute worst it is one of the worst. Personally, the main problem was that it was incredibly dull and there just didn't seem to have any point to it. The story was barely there, and what there was of one was as thin as half-melted ice, and the pedestrian pacing made it even more interminable, certainly among the most tedious found footage movies and of any movie personally seen recently. Making it even more dull was the camera work, which was both annoying and amateurish. The footage frequently had no point to it and used to the extent that it does nothing to enhance the plot, instead it takes you straight out of the story and the little info boxes were just pure tack. The look of the movie was so drab it was literally colourless while the dialogue is stilted- I barely understood a word- and strained in delivery, the characters are so lifeless in personality and do nothing interesting that it's impossible to root for them(the psychotic killer could have been just been anybody and no one would bat as much as an eyelid) and judging from the acting nobody looked as though they wanted to be there. The one piece of acting that looked like acting, and it was actually the sole redeeming quality of the entirety of Closed Circuit Extreme, was the girl locked in the bathroom, the one time where you feel any genuine horror or anybody giving a toss about the situation they're in. All in all, dull, pointless and just a mess all round. 1/10 Bethany Cox
fortunatel After twenty five minutes I still have no idea what is going on. I give up. I couldn't really even understand the conversations, seems to "peppered" with some Italian. Other than the guy needs a bottle opener, I couldn't really glean much from what was shown. It was irritating at best, all the shots bleeping from one camera to the next. Even here I couldn't find much of a synopsis on the plot. I simply couldn't hang on long enough to see if there even was a plot.I'm not a fan of movies that are always from the camera's point of view. How did this trend even start? Seems to be a popular one. More and more movies are shown in this way.
Andy McBain Where to start...Having recently had a bout of this horrid 'Winter flu' that's been going around, I can genuinely say I'd rather go through that week of excessive vomiting and profuse sweating than watch this film again. From the unexplained continued use of poor English (this film, I think, is supposed to be based in Rome?) - don't really understand why subtitles weren't used, or if they're going to use English, base the film in an English-speaking part of the world - to the dreadful, dreadful, dreadful plot lines, I feel like that's a whole hour and a bit of my life that I'm never getting back! Please please please don't watch this film. If you have anything better to do, and by 'better' this could range from cutting your toe nails to shampooing your neighbour's overly aggressive, rabid pitbull, do that instead.1 star is too high.
geeza2006 OK where too start with this movie, put it this way i feel I've just been robbed of a hour an half off my life this by far is the worst found footage movie I've ever seen, and trust me I've seen a lot some good, some bad but this takes top prize for worst.OK spoiler alert basically two people want too find out if the occupant of the house has murdered there friend so they plant hidden cameras around his house while hes at work, so then you spend the next 90mins watching the man coming home from work having a wash, something too eat, go too bed, then get up for work in the morning and thats pretty much it.Don't get me wrong there is some sinister events near the end but i wont tell u what happens there so you can watch the only part worth watching, but still thats not all that great. In a nut shell this movie is Boring in every way of the word do yourself a favour and don't bother with it, if you do don't say i didn't warn you.If i could have rated this movie less than 1 i would have its that bad.
