This is an astonishing documentary that will wring your heart while it bends your mind

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

I thought I'd watch this "documentary" (though in truth it hardly qualifies for that label) to learn a bit about marijuana and why it is the world's most popular drug (if you discount alcohol and tobacco as drugs). The presenter says he is a psychologist and pretends to have a neutral view of cannabis, but you can clearly detect a bias on his part. In fact, early on he says he has tried marijuana and didn't like it, that it made him "thick" (dull, stupid). Much of what is presented is anecdotal. One young man says cannabis makes him feel wonderful, another says it gives him suicidal thoughts. There's really not much information in the show. In the end, the presenter gives the standard line of "the jury is still out" on whether cannabis is dangerous or not, and again one hears the subtextual warning: "Don't use this drug." Very disappointing, all in all. More propaganda than documentary.
