mraculeated The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
MartinHafer "I Bury the Axis" is a strange and very funny stop-motion propaganda film by Lou Bunin and it made me laugh. Using what appear to be rubber or clay dolls, he humorously encourages the folks watching to do their part in defeating the Axis.It begins with Hitler singing a little song about how he's taken over several countries and will do more...that is, until he gets to Moscow. The, similar sorts of songs are then sung by Mussolini and Hirohito. All of them have very clever lyrics and must have had the folks laughing in the movie theaters. Surprisingly enjoyable today as well. Well worth seeing and I was genuinely shocked how much I could enjoy this sort of thing.
