Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Myron Clemons A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
Frances Chung Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
mirosuionitsaki2 Back when I lived in New Orleans, a man walking by my house approached my mom with a couple of DVDs that he was selling for $20.00. This one one of them. I'm pretty sure he stole them or something, but whatever. Now, I just finished re-watching the first episode and I'm very disappointed. The whole series is filled with cheesy music, annoying beeps and boops, and very horrible voice actors. Imagine going home and saying, "I just did the voice acting for Browser!". Doesn't that just sound horrible? The series is CD-I quality.Let me begin with the animation and the appearance of Mario. This is classic 90s style drawings. Everyone just looks all unusual and the colors are dark compared to Billy and Mandy, which was made when we decided we didn't want to blind children with darkness. So, to sum up this part of the review, it's pretty okay. The voice acting like I said before just sucks. Mario doesn't sound like what you would expect him to sound. Browser just sounds terrible. Browser's little allies sound so annoying.Overall, the series is not worth watching. If you see this on television, turn your television off or change the channel. But, if you want to see how this series is without reading a review, then go right ahead and watch it.
CaptainR1 Since when this was aired over in the UK, the cover songs are gone and so are the Captain N parts but this show still great even without them. Mario & Luigi may have different voices (Mario isn't too bad but Luigi sounds more scared) but the voice acting is still top notch with Toad and King Koopa, oddly I found Super Show's Princess Toadstool more gentler and softer in terms of voice than the harsher Super Mario Bros 3 one. Also the Koopalings are great new characters that looked like their game counterparts (Cheatsy, Kooky and Bully are my favourites). The one part that I like is that it fits with the game; music, locations and even bits like the Doomship as well as good plots... well most of the time (the Milli Vanilli one just has some background music from Captain N and the one where Luigi is turned into a dog are my least favourites). The only problem is that there are too many animation mistakes common ones being; Luigi turns red, Cheatsy (or Larry) turning orange, Mario switching from brown to black hair and back after the first four aired episodes (since they have Mario with black hair) and some colouring problems which are incredibly easy to spot. Plot wise it is slightly better than Super Show but worser in terms of animation. Still, the show is worth watching if you like video gaming cartoons.
Grestep This was one of my favorite cartoons when I was younger. The story was great and the characters were straight from Nintendo, except for Captain N. I wish it would come back on some channel. The Super Mario Bros. part was a great thing also. I loved watching the adventures of Mario and Luigi.
Op_Prime This was one cool series. Combined various characters from Nintendo games in one part and had everyone's favorite plumbers in another part of the show. Captain N combined Icarus, Mega Man, Metorid, Punch out, Donkey Kong and sometimes featured a certain game like Tetris. The Mario part had Mario, Luigi, Toad and the Princess in a Super Mario Bros. 3 environment. A very cool show.
