Horrible, fascist and poorly acted

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Freeman
This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
Sarita Rafferty
There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

Amarte es mi Pecao is one of the best sop operas ever. Yadhira Carrilo and Sergio Sendel are very great actors. Carrilo is very strong, and her emotional scenes are very well acted. The main villain, Sylvia Pasquel, is one of the most unique actresses in Mexico. She is very comedic, but she is so evil, you just love watching her. Tiare Scanda is a very good actress I had never hear of before, as is Alessandra Rosaldo, and by the final, you really care about all the characters. The finale was also very good, and a great end to Pasquel's character. This is one of my favorite soap operas, I cannot think of any I like more, well, perhaps only La Madrastra.

TV and Films are not only helping me, but I am finding that I am enjoying a lot of the films more, in some ways, than typical American films of my taste. Or course, I have always enjoyed subtitled foreign films, whether they sparked my interest for cultural reasons, or whatever. Anyway, I am even getting into some of the soaps as a tool to help me learn the language. Anyone have ideas for which ones I should check out? In the case of this one, I need to ask if anyone knows the name of the blonde beauty that is featured. I don't recall any other blonde being featured on the show (as far as I've seen it) so I figured that this was a sufficient description. Or do I sound like a moron?

Yadhira Carillo convinced us that she could be the leading lady in another critically acclaimed soap opera, La Otra(The Other Woman) where she played two identical women with mirroring principles and values. In Amarte es mi Pecado, she plays Nora Madrigal de Orta who vowed to her father that she will marry someone rich so that she can be happy for the rest of her life. Nora is keen on doing this until she meets Arturo whom she falls totally in love with. They share a beautiful relationship in spite of the efforts made by her ambitious and greedy Aunt Alejandra and her stepmother Isaura to keep her from reaching eternal happiness. In a trip to Miami, Arturo cheats on Nora with a young woman named Paulina who falls madly in love with Nora's fiancé. When Arturo returns to Michoacan, he tells Nora what happened hoping that his honesty will make Nora think twice before putting off their wedding....but that doesn't happen. Nora is enraged and heartbroken when hearing about Arturo's affair and she decides to keep her pregnancy a secret. Isaura kills off Alejandra with the aide of her ugly and envious daughter Casilda(Who is the best character in the show). In an attempt to make Nora suffer even more and in order to make some money Isaura trades Casilda's and Nora's babies when they give birth. Nora believes that Casilda's dead baby is her own and tragedy once more strikes. After this, Nora can take no more and she decided to follow her dreams and become a successful and powerful model. With her power, overpowering beauty, and her money she vows to avenge the death of her daughter and vows to avenge every single tragedy and heartbreak that people put her trough. Nora becomes the one person who no one wants to mess with because tragedy and heartbreak have turned her into a self-sufficient woman who will stop at nothing to make the people who hurt her, pay for their evil deeds. With an excellent adaptation by Liliana Abud, produced by the one and only Ernesto Alonso, directed by Benjamin Cann, and starring Yadhira Carillo, Sergio Sendel, Alessandra Rosaldo, Margarita Isabel, Sylvia PAsquel, Alexis Ayala, and Tiare Scanda as Casilda. A very good telenovela, it should be out on DVD soon in the United States.

when I saw the soap opera I thought the title was very catchy and wondered what it was about, then at least three of the actors defined the title the first being Casila , then Leonardo, and then Yadhira. Over time the soap develops into, He loves her, She loves somebody else, and the one the loves him, he rejects, the ending is where it gets interesting when all is lost the good characters find love. and being in love doesn't have to be a sin. Although at the end all that dramatic shooting was too fast for me. The very end is hilarious with an unexpected vengeance as in God punishes that bad villain played by one of the best leading actresses, Silvia Pasquel.
