AutCuddly Great movie! If you want to be entertained and have a few good laughs, see this movie. The music is also very good,
Senteur As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
Jenna Walter The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
beehappy-39059 To whoever writes for Harlots, why would Mrs. Quigley lock the door to Charlottes room when there's two giant windows that can be opened or broken and yelled out of for help??? How about overlooking the obvious!
s k This show used to at least be fun - in a low brow bawdy sort of way. Now...it's just tedious. And unbelievably unrealistic. I understand the temptation to stack the deck with a super bad villain like Lydia Quigley. I get it. But the problem with the Lydia Quigley character is that someone would have/should have killed her off by now. Unfortunately the producers have painted themselves into a corner and so she remains. She's beyond annoying. And beyond disgusting. Her character is simply not believable. (Not in the sense that she couldn't possibly exist at all; unbelievable in the sense that there's just no way she'd still be alive at this point. But she is. Sadly.) And what a waste of Liv Tyler, along with some of the other cast members. (What was Liv Tyler thinking? What was her agent thinking? Definitely time for a new agent, Liv.) This show is easily forgettable; but not so easily forgivable.
lorimallory-44472 This show is new to me, but I'm already captivated by the cast, storyline and costumes. It is a breathe of fresh air!
kateworkbox The series conveys the spirit of the period in a realistic, credible manner, the details are well thought of, the costumes and makeup original and beautiful. Diverse character and plot stories complete the wide spectrum of viewpoints. The aesthetic pleasure from the beauty of the actors is contrasted by the filth of the era, bringing up some flashbacks from the Perfumer, but with a much higher accent of the beauties views - loved it much, highly recommended.
