FeistyUpper If you don't like this, we can't be friends.
TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Janis One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
philip-taylor-ok Taking it to the absolute pinnacle of over the top acting.......come forward and take a bow,and come on down Evan Jonigkeit for your portrayal of Captain Chesterfield...................rarely have i seen such over the top unrestrained ...lets go BIG, NO BIGGER Acting, get a frigging grip...............subtlety is not within your performance ratio my friend
cffarlowe I would think that in the 1800 hundreds the F word would certainly not be used as much as in this TV series. I would give "Frontier" a 7 but with the copious mentioning of the F word a 1. Sad!
marcjs2828-971-121941 And when I say good, its about the captain with the beard and the quacky accent he has. He's almost like a drunk half-witted villain, not at all what an English officer is supposed to be, but that in itself is what I find hilarious about the series, because you know when he gets into an argument or a fight, the idiot grin is coming out with the accent and its pure comedic gold, lol. This series isn't 'Centennial' by no means, but it isn't without its entertaining moments.
dreamdemon-1 There's plenty to like about the series and the first season had plenty of punch to it, which sadly can't be said about the second season.Good things first: - Jason Momoa can act, though his heart isn't in this character. The other are a hit and miss, plenty of supporting cast to like but most other main characters are brought to life by actors with little to no charisma. - the story has huge potential, plenty of it coming to fruition - as a period piece, there's beautiful scenes, great costumes and a lot of raw feeling to it that lends it believability and authenticityBad things: - huge nonsensical plot holes, smart characters turning stupid over night - the story is marred by cheap cheese much too often - dialogue is filled with clichés - incredibly uneven performances leading to a lot of effort going to waste
