DipitySkillful an ambitious but ultimately ineffective debut endeavor.
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
    Staci Frederick Blistering performances.
JonathanWalford There goes another hour and half of my life I will never get back again... This was the worst produced game show/reality TV show I have seen in a very long time. It's Dragon's Den meets Sew you think you can design... 14 contestants, of which we only got to meet 10, each produce one garment, then get criticized by three 'mentors' in the fashion field of which only one actually designs - the other two just lend their name to a line. Then the garments are offered money from either H&M, Macy's or Saks, and not just a little money, but MASSIVE money for crap frocks and ill fitting jackets. Then these items are immediately for sale the next day. The rules were not explained well - I still don't understand if the designer gets that money or not, because that isn't how it works in the real world of selling designs to retailers. There was nothing new - everything was already well established styles, or gimmicky novelty items that have no real lasting power. The biggest problem with this show is that NOBODY is likable. Jessica Simpson and Nicole Ritchie come off okay, but everyone else comes off as arrogant, bad tempered, bitchy, self- important talentless hacks - including Elle McPherson. If they wanted to make this show work then they needed to introduce all the contestants at the beginning, then explain the process of how they designed their garments WITH the help of professional pattern makers and seamsters, and the advice of the mentors. Then, there should have been a fashion show of all the designs, or at least half and half, with a show down of the winners and losers, picking ONE winner per week, whose clothes will be sold online for charity and through various stores, and one person going home. Then, after 12 weeks announce the winner, who will then have their collection made and sold through whatever company bids the highest to carry the line. The show as it exists is just a big old mess and I regret having wasted as much time watching it as I did. I won't be returning.
