It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

I base this review on the first story from the first episode, so there is the caveat that the series may have gone in a different direction after this. The episode presented a dramatic and interesting story solving the problem of an aggressive dog. Giving the show 3 stars isn't about the entertainment factor. My concerns are:
1. There was very little explanation of what the family was doing wrong that led to such severe behavioral problems. What went wrong with the three trainers that couldn't solve the problem? Nothing.
2. The only solution presented was a trip to Cesar's million dollar dog paradise ranch. This made for good drama (Cesar rides in to the rescue!) but there is a need to better balance storytelling with education. How do owners whose dogs can't go to the magic ranch deal with problems?
