    CommentsXp Best movie ever!
pointyfilippa The movie runs out of plot and jokes well before the end of a two-hour running time, long for a light comedy.
Married Baby Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
yougotspencered "From now on, every girl in the world who might be a Slayer will be a Slayer. Every girl who could have the power will have the power. Can stand up, will stand up. Slayers, every one of us. Make your choice. Are you ready to be strong?"I actually quite liked the motion comic, as shocking as that is. I didn't fancy all of the story lines, but overall i really enjoyed it. I enjoyed it so much that i had to buy it on both blu-ray and DVD.I found this enjoyable to watch and i recommend it to anyone who loves buffy the vampire slayer. I never read any of the comics, but after watching this it made me want to read the buffy and angel comics so badly.
jeff jack I loved the movie. I never watched the show. Then I get to be a voice in this thing. So here's my review. Awesome series. The extension of the media into Motion Comic, wasn't, I'd offer, the idea of Joss Wheadon. But, as forces of nature go, at least the thing was made. When I was a kid, there was a show that used to have a narrator reading through a comic book while a camera panned from frame to frame. I OWNED these comic books, and LOVED this show. So as the field of motion comics comes into its own, it really was an honor to be part of this production, while also LOVING the product itself. What a terrific team. I know the dream is that it would have been an 8th and final season, but ya know, firefly should have gotten more than one season too. If you are a die-hard fan of Buffy.. you'll love this. If you don't... tha's cool. We're all entitled to opinions, yours would just be wrong. :)
Morbius Fitzgerald I do consider myself a fan of Buffy, I even found it in me to like the 1992 film starring Kristy Swanson. This however is REALLY pushing it.Okay I HATE the idea of motion comics. There is nothing that you can watch on screen that you can't read just as fast(strictly talking comics here). The still panels were okay but to "make them move" REALLY ended off badly. Needless to say I hated it. The voice actors sound like Terminator robots played the parts.I will say though that I do like the stories that were told with "The Chain" being my favourite but the problem was that they used voice...speakers instead of voice actors and the effect of the comic panels coming to life came off as awful.I don't suggest a viewing.
WakenPayne Okay, this isn't as good as the series. I do think the replacement voice actors aren't as memorable or as fitting to the part as the TV cast (I do think Sarah Michelle Gellar is a better Buffy than Kirsty Swanson).I will say my favourite out of all the comics in this series is "The Chain" the writing is superb, Don't have low expectations on this because it is a comic book - the writing in this is just as good (in the case of The Chain - maybe better, but that might be a longshot to some people) as the entire series. My least favourite is the ones with Fray, I just didn't get into the story like the others. This is long as far as things go - the regular comics take 11 minutes though, the end result is over 3½ hours of Buffy (but who's complaining?). The end result is a very good incarnation, I hope Season 8 The Motion Comic Part 2 comes out or Angel: After The Fall as far as Whedon creations go (to name all the comics I want would disrupt the 1,000 word limit).
