A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

This documentary was well-paced and had some interesting behind-the-scenes looks at how the NYCFC franchise was born. I think the highlighting of Villa's signing and Coach Kreis's tough decision-making on the roster were important. If you are not a soccer fan, this may be a tough watch. As a season-ticket holder, it was more personal and emotional for me. Seeing the expansion draft and how negotiations took place for players was a nice look.I felt this film highlighted Kreis's challenges as the first-year coach. He was truly into the job, but believed he wasn't given enough true autonomy.
