Reviews
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
Anoushka Slater While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Fulke Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
ze0 This movie is about a boat race on a small river in the mid of Sweden. They are racing for an order of 1000 yachts to a middle-east sheik. The movie has a lot of (at the time) good Swedish actors, I beleive that you have to be from Sweden or Scandinavia to like this one...It has a bit of classic action here and there but it's kind of a comedy / drama picture. The story plays out in "present day" 1981 and it's a "feel good" movie.I rate is movie 7/10.
CooperCom One of the worst and most boring movies from Scandinavia. What is the point to make a film with OK actors & OK story if it is so extremely dull. I remember this movie was allowed for children to watch, but it becomes a bit to dull and difficult for a 11 year old to follow the story here. Not a movie for children at all. ------ (2 out of 10)
AndreasClaeson There are not many films from Sweden that you can watch as many times as I have watched Göta Kanal. It's certainly one of the best movies ever produced in this country. The actors delivers extremely well-timed lines and the witty script makes you crumble of laughter! 1 157 846 Swedes saw Göta Kanal in the movies.
a90jho I think it´s one of the best swedish comedic movies beside "Sallskapsresan" with Lasse Aberg. It has really good action scenes and lots of funny yokes. It´s also modern to be in the 80´s it has the Dolby Stereo Mix!
