Reviews
Pacionsbo Absolutely Fantastic
Frances Chung Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Quiet Muffin This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
Zlatica One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
John Doe Starting with the standard "Tell me about your childhood" question, this documentary follows Ellis' life as a person, and professional comic book author. It goes through most of his publications, praising him like the god of sci-fi comics, and hyping his impact on comic book culture. There's interviews with people he's worked with, friends and family, with a lot of focus on an internet forum he used to host, where people became such good friends that several ended up marrying. As a fan of Ellis' Transmetropolitan, I found this docu to be informative about some of his other works. I have already acquired several that I became interested in checking out, but all in all, this film is far from the greatness of the similar docu about Alan Moore.
