Radiant with warmth and light, and offering evocative sound, Volta Jazz is an original film by artist Joshua Woods. Introducing Wales Bonner for Spring Summer 2022, the film reflects on the inspirations for the collection – the orchestral jazz music of Burkina Faso in the 1960s and ‘70s, and the time-honoured tradition of West African studio portraiture, notably the work of Burkinabe artist Sanlé Sory.
