Throwdown Trailers

A young criminal defense attorney struggles with a homicide case that is not as cut and dry as it appears while battling a drinking habit. The story goes beyond the lives of those directly related to the case and shines a much needed spotlight on the horrific world of human trafficking in the United States.

Bereamic Awesome Movie
kosmasp Which doesn't really save the movie or make it really that much better, I'm just stating the obvious I reckon. But it was nice seeing some of them. Mischa Barton might have fallen from Grace (and OC) a long time ago, but others make good contributions to movies from time to time. Giving Danny Trejo a machete to wield in this, might be a neat trick, but doesn't really help too.Actually some might feel offended by him (or his character for that matter) doing that. It's just a movie, but you can't capture magic (or machetes) in a bottle like this. The movie is predictable as could be expected and there is a very good looking dark haired beauty in this, if you care about such a thing. It might be the only thing to get excited about in this movie ...
leonblackwood Review: This film was awful. After getting over how cheap the movie looked, and the terrible soundtrack, I was hoping that the storyline was going to be half interesting but that was a disappointment as well. As usual, Vinnie Jones is playing the thug who wants to revenge the murder of his son so he asks a lawyer to try his best to release the accused murderer so he can take his own revenge. With the help of the accused sister, they find out that her brother actually didn't kill Vinnie s son and that he was protecting his lover, who was Vinnies son's girlfriend, so they plot to take down Vinnie and his crooked bunch. They also get the help from Luke Goss (from Bros) whose an private investigator with a drinking habit but he isn't really in the film that much. Anyway, the acting was really bad, especially from the leading actor, played by Timothy Woodward Jr., who also directed the movie. The storyline was straight forward but the director made a mess of it. At the end of the day, it's just another low budget movie from Trejo and Jones which should have gone straight to VHS except for DVD. Rubbish!Round-Up: I would love to know whose funding these awful movies because they must have money to burn. I wasn't expecting that much from the film because of the cast and the fact that the advert looked cheap but I thought that I would give it a go, which was a bad mistake. Trejo is waving his machete around like a mad man, as usual and Vinnie Jones is playing the usual cockney hard man, which we have seen many times before. Anyway, the movie was a total waste of time and money and I really can't find anything positive to say about this cheap attempt at a gangster movie.I recommend this movie to people who are into their cheap thriller/drama movies about a lawyer who has to release a prisoner so a gangster can revenge his brothers death. 1/10
christiank7 What a dribble of a movie. Any spoiler I give here will not matter because after you read this you will definitely not be going to watch this abysmal film. Where can one start? OK The plot. A total jumble of incoherent garbage made by all the writers who were dumped from the worst TV series ever. This is so bad that even my cat crawled out of the room. The acting! OK The acting - I say that twice because I had to check myself to use this word for the work done on this film. The lead is a vacuous moron who has not the slightest on screen charisma and will disappear off the scene as fast as he go there. What a loser and what a mad choice by the producers who obviously have no idea about the art form and are only interested in making money from the DVD rental from the gangster loving moron viewers in the hoods of the dump suburbs of outer LA! What a terrible indictment of US culture. The female actors all need to give up and become bar waitresses, on second thought if I was having a drink I would not want these stupid women serving me either. I am so glad that I did not pay for this experience and I hope I have convinced you not to spend any of yours either. PS Danny boy - not good pal, really not good!
Tony Heck "You want me to defend him, set him free and deliver him to you." Jaxon Stone (Woodward Jr.) is one of the best lawyers in town. When two clients hire him he begins his investigations to find a way to free them. When it turns out that one of the clients has ulterior motives Jaxon is in a difficult spot. Either save the defendant and he dies, or prove he's guilty and Jaxon dies. So judging by the cast alone I was expecting this to be garbage. Nothing against the stars of the movie but most of the movies they have been in have been pretty low budget and slow. That said I will do this review in two parts. First of all I have to say that this is one of the most technically bad movies I have ever seen. The camera goes in and out of focus, the zooms are so close that you can't see the actor's whole face, and the boom mic never seems to be in the right place. Some of the dialog is echoed and some is too loud. All that said though the actual plot and movie was much better than I was expecting. The biggest problem with movies like this have been that they are so slow moving. This movie is only an hour and 15 minutes long so it really moves along quickly. The idea is really interesting and that is what really got me and I ended up staying interested the entire time. I am not saying that this is an amazing movie or something to run out and see but this is a million times better than I was expecting. Overall, one of the biggest surprises I have seen in a while. Far surpassed my expectations. I surprisingly give this a B-.
