Ariella Broughton It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

weibaisi I saw this movie twice, running on Danish TV. It is considered one of their classics. Perhaps it is. The one thing for sure is that it is certainly more accessible to foreigners than most Danish movies, particularly if you understand French. The plot is fairly simple. It follows three Danish girls who left their luggage at a Paris hotel, with most of their money too, and then conveniently forgot where the hotel was located. While their early predicament opens the possibility for some suspense and danger, the movie is light-hearted all the way through. It becomes sort of a traveling brochure for Paris in the early 60's, with the girls trying to find the hotel again all over the city and fraternizing with the locals and enlisting their help in the process. While there's some Danish at the beginning of the movie, before the girls embark on their trip. After 10 minutes or so, it turns almost completely to French all the way to the end. Most of the remaining Danish is redundant dialog and a few gags stemming from linguistic misunderstanding. They don't make Danish movies like that anymore.
