Reviews
Skunkyrate Gripping story with well-crafted characters
Bergorks If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.
Tyreece Hulme One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
Fulke Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
GUENOT PHILIPPE First, I must confess that this film was not dubbed nor subtitled. So, as far as I don't understand Japanese language, I'll do my best to explain. It's a crime film about two former pals from the WW2 who, one day, help a woman a sort of refugee involved with gangsters, sort of pimps. Our two pals seem to be retired fishermen. At some moments, I thought of SEA FOG - fishermen and refugees - but this film I just talk about is very depressing, violent, so dark, with an outstanding Ando Noburu, the former authentic Yakuza member, you know the actor with a scarface? He plays here the lead, who defends the girl against the mobsters. Once again, I regret the absence of subtitles or dubbing. But I recommend it anyway. A movie as I crave for. No happy ending here.
