The S From Hell Trailers

THE S FROM HELL is a short documentary-cum-horror film about the scariest corporate symbol in history - The 1964 Screen Gems logo, aka ‘The S From Hell.’ Built around interviews with survivors still traumatized from their childhood exposure to the logo after shows like Bewitched or The Monkees, the film brings their stories to life with animation, found footage, and dramatic reenactments.

Reviews
Solidrariol Am I Missing Something?
Ketrivie It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
Micah Lloyd Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) Rodney Ascher's "The S from Hell" refers to the first letter from "Screen Gems". So were they evil or what is this about? Apparently yes to the people interviewed in this 8-minute short film. However, to me it felt as if substance was missing here really. It felt like a collection of scenes that were never really scary or scared me even if there was some gore and violence. Also the aspect of the unknown danger and presence of the letter S did not really work. I guess most people will see this fake documentary as a comedy, but sadly it was never really funny. 4 out of 10 is even generous as this one is really not worth a watch. Not even for fans of the horror genre.
