The Pact Trailers

A gritty, provocative true-life story of three friends from the 'hood, Rameck Hunt, Sampson Davis, and George Jenkins, who made a pact in high school to find a way to go to college and then medical school. They not only accomplished this, but they're now spreading the word to inspire other inner-city kids to stay off of drugs, out of gangs and to take the educational route to a better life. THE PACT captures the pathos of the men's individual journeys, the integrity of their voices and the power of their rare friendship. Their stories affirm the values that ultimately sustained and drove them: courage, tenacity, and faith. And they give tribute to the life of the mind and its power to turn dreams into reality.

Reviews
SparkMore n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
ChicDragon It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.
filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Staci Frederick Blistering performances.
Syl Three African American doctors who were raised on the mean streets of Newark, New Jersey are friends. Their incredible story of achieving success despite their odds has inspired a book and a documentary. The three doctors have appeared on Oprah Winfrey Show among others to inspire and uplift others. Newark, New Jersey isn't an easy place for living. There is crime, poverty, and high unemployment in a city about ten minutes from New York City. This ninety minute documentary is about these three doctors who are friends and colleagues. Despite their success, they have always returned to their roots in Newark. Amira Baraka, a poet and writer, makes an appearance in this documentary along with Bill Cosby. The doctors had obstacles to get to where they are successful and determined to inspire others in Newark to succeed despite the harsh obstacles. This documentary is worth watching to inspire and uplift others like Malique in the film.
