Reviews
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Sabah Hensley This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Haven Kaycee It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
w_i_l_l_i_a_m Don't waste your time! 1.5 hours of total garbage. Is this a student Film or a waste of Time?
FlashCallahan A bank robbery quickly becomes fatally chaotic as one of the hostages is a serial killer. Trapping the bank robbers in the building, the killer starts to pick them off one by one....That unwritten rule of replacing an actor with Nicolas Cage is so relevant for a film like this. And although Rollins is really good, it's a case of great concept, shame about the film.So we have Rollins as this serial killer who collects his victims eyes, because god told him to, and he's been keeping them in a safety deposit box in a bank that is closing. And before his eyes, the place gets held up by a bunch of amateurs who have inside information that there is a large quantity of bonds in the vault. No sooner than the police get on the scene, we are treated to a plethora of bad CG gunfire and blood, and this is where the film fails on most levels. If it focused more on the concept, rather than the banter between criminal and the law, and not throwing in a gangster-esque subplot, it could have been a decent enough B-movie horror. But the film makers think that we need to hear the rag tag group argue with each other throughout the film, because Reservoir Dogs is brilliant isn't it?Yes, it's a groundbreaking piece of work that has been copied more times than a child copying a dog, and each new 'homage' just becomes more and more mundane.Rollins never really gets going until well into the third act, and by then, because of all the worthless wordplay between everyone else, you kind of make him the protagonist. No disrespect to Rollins, but if Cage was in his role, it would have been a different film, and would have given him the chance to turn up to 11.all in all, it's a pretty wasted opportunity for such a good concept...
thedjrob Some movies seem to be bad on purpose... this one was just horrible with no redeeming qualities. The "professional" robbers were anything but. So dumb it makes you upset. The dialog made no sense. The plot made no sense. The actions of the characters made no sense. Somehow Henry Rollins character could disappear and reappear soundlessly into a tiny air vent eight feet up a wall. The police send one person to casually checkout a bank robbery call. No one realizes the SWAT team that come to help are not actually People are being stabbed and screaming a couple rooms away while they are carefully robbing a bank and no one in the bank seems to notice. Towards the end of the film, every other scene were characters monologuing before obviously having a shootout for no reason. If this reaches anyone that has not seen the movie.... don't waste your time. But for everyone else here reading reviews, I understand how you feel. We all feel that way. We all came here as we had to vent just how bad this movie was.
subxerogravity A for effort on the filmmakers part who make a interesting tangle web as, a group of bank robbers decide to take a safety deposit bank on the eve of it's closing, only to have their plans seriously compromised when a serial killer needs to take out his stuff from the bank before it closes as well.It has it's moments of suspense as you never fully know what's going to happen next as the bank robbers try to get what they came for and the Serial Killer called the window man only sees an all you can eat of mass murder. The Last Heist is OK made possibly better because of Henry Rollers as the Window Man. Rollins has the charisma that makes the Rock a star (I'm sure all other hardcore fans wo8uld agree). Definitely a great role for him and adds interest to the picture.A funny movie to catch on Netflix.http://cinemagardens.com
