Reviews
Incannerax What a waste of my time!!!
WillSushyMedia This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
Skyler Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
russellhalil I was the runner and a production coordinator on this event as I used to work for Fugitive TV & Video's and Features. It was an amazing and emotional journey for many people, resulting in a beautiful triumph that everyone was proud to be part of. God bless Queen, Jim, Dominic and Ray, Julie and everyone at Queen Productions for making this monumental day so special. The highlight for me was David Bowie and Annie Lennox and the mighty Guns & Roses. I wonder what everyone is doing now? If Dave Laidlaw reads this review get in-touch. A memorable moment back stage was seeing the gorgeous Cindy Crawford in the flesh only for the moment to be then dampened by Janis Street Porter's arrival on the scene, I remember saying to my mate "Well you have to take the rough with the smooth" and we fell about laughing....LOL (Only joking Janis...we love you really)
Kaiketsu I'm too young remember Live Aid(1985) but this one I didn't miss! The best concert ever with an all star cast of the greatest artists of the 80's and 90's. Many great moments but James Hetfield's version of Stone Cold Crazy and Elton John & Axl Rose version of Bohemian Rhapsody stands out.A must for anyone who loves rock n roll!
Dolemike-2 When Queen's frontman Freddie Mercury succumbed to AIDS in 1991 it was a blow to the music world, and it ended a 20 year legacy. However, as Freddie was never one to do things by half-measures, the surviving members of Queen decided to give him the biggest sendoff in history. The result was a massive charity (for the Mercury-Phoenix Trust AIDS foundation) concert that took place at Wembley Stadium, England. Some of the biggest names in music came to perform, everyone from Elton John,George Michael and David Bowie to Spinal Tap, Guns 'n' Roses and Metallica. The concert was divided into two sections: the bands played their own songs in the first half, and then the superstars joined Queen onstage to perform Queen's greatest hits. A tremendous concert for all those involved. Music from the 60's to the 90's is played, so it has something for everyone. This concert helps the legend of Freddie Mercury live on.
Jonathan Horner Queen were and still are without a doubt the best band that ever graced planet earth. This very emotional tribute concert pays tribute to one of the worlds most powerful rock legends ever, the great Freddie Mercury who sadly died in November 1991 from AIDS.The Freddie Mercury tribute concert boasts a whole lot of stars. From George Michael who did an amazing job when singing "somebody to love" to Elton John, who was a close friend of Freddie's. Heavy metal groups like Guns n Roses and Metallica performed with style to. Overall a very good and emotional concert.10/10
