A new The Fly movie is in development for 20th Century Studios and Chernin Entertainment. Nikyatu Jusu, who directed the 2022 horror film Nanny, is writing and directing the project. The movie will be set in the same universe as David Cronenberg's 1986 classic, but it's not expected to be a direct sequel or reboot
