Reviews
BroadcastChic Excellent, a Must See
Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
SeeQuant Blending excellent reporting and strong storytelling, this is a disturbing film truly stranger than fiction
Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Ninochka This a classic crime story about a brutal murder investigated by a nice and caring female teacher (Eva Ruttkai) because the crime had an effect on life of one of her pupils. The "False Isabella" is an extremely rare stamp and many stamp collectors would murder or die to get hold of it! The story is well done and you can re-watch the movie even if you already know who did it. This film could be rare to get nowadays (I watched the old Russian dub) but if you like good crime stories, don't miss it. Other good crime stories from the ex-communist countries are the Polish "Zbrodniarz i panna" (The Murderer and the Girl) and the Russian "Sledstvie vedut znatoki 14: Podpasok s ogurtsom" (Experts Are Investigating: Young Shepherd with a Cucumber).
