collin_rain I recently caught this arthouse film in the last SAFILM and really moved something in me. It tells the story of a very shutdown woman who returns to a border town in Mexico, Tijuana, where she grew up. It is a slow paced film but it manages to get you interested and share the character's ordeal. There is a memory in her childhood that makes her a loner, so in the second part of the story she gets drawn to the new tenant of the rundown house where she grew up. It's a very disturbing story, specially because by the end, you completely understand her sorrow. Beautiful images and a very well told story with a powerful sorority message. It won a very well deserved prize.
