Reviews
Pacionsbo Absolutely Fantastic
Bluebell Alcock Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies
Benas Mcloughlin Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
Raymond Sierra The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
2karl- The Contract came out in 2006 1hr36mins its not a bad film the acting is good by Morgan and john we have a father going to the mountains with the kids camping he lost his wife to cancer 2 yrs ago and his son is in trouble at school so with a hike and camping in the woods on offer ray decide to have some male bonding time to help his kids this group want to bring down the economies so they try to eliminate obstacles to progress Ray Keene (John Cusack), a father who wants to redeem himself in the eyes of his son (Jamie Anderson), is trying to bring Carden (Morgan Freeman), a world-class assassin to justice. All the while, he must protect his son and evade the assassin's team who are methodically hunting them down in the wilderness. so have three stories in this film with frank carden played by Morgan freeman expertly he is a former sniper in the army and is a hired mercenary assassin and has been in trouble with the FBI after one of his jobs are interrupted due to a accident franks men find out this and try and rescue him but the FBI car gets run off the road into the river for some reason frank helps the agent in trouble in the water . Ray helps the wounded agent and the cuffed Frank to leave the river, and feels responsible to deliver Frank to justice. The former policeman and stubborn Ray does not listen to Frank's proposal to leave him alone and travel through the woods with Chris, trying to find a safe place. But Frank's men and an undercover agent in the team are chasing the group with different lethal intentions i so with ray finding out who frank is after finding him in the water and with his gang after him there is police search on so this is a cat and mouse am a huge fan of John Cusak and Morgan Freeman. I have loved their work's apart and My first chance to see them working together. John's wit and Morgan's presence...I popped it right into the DVD and i loved it
Petri Savolainen I will pretend Morgan Freeman was not in this movie. Lead roles play like another day in the office, the others suck so bad, words cannot describe. Story is predictable. Chemistry between roles non-existent. I guess a man's got to do something to get food onto table. I will need to see a decent Freeman movie to cope with this. In some occasions the supporting actors are so awkward, I am ashamed for them. The final solution is so lame and predicable, it makes me cry. If I ever invent a time machine that would allow me to go back to one moment in my life, I'd go back to the second I decided to see this over "catch me if you can". Seriously. Do not see this movie, life is fragile and short. Instead, sleep long or go to a walk. Got 2/10 just because Freeman still plays a role in it.
tmstopgun This is one of the worst movies I've seen in over 5 years! Honestly. I can't imagine how dozens of people must have spent weeks or months making something so pathetic. If you are going to spend the time and money to make something and put your name on it, at least let it not be such a damn embarrassing effort! What else can i say? If you read this review before watching the movie and still decide to watch it, at least you know exactly who to blame when you get done with the movie. The biggest problem with this movie is the extremely weak story line. The characters act totally out of character and there is absolutely no credibility in the plot. It amazes me when big name actors sign up to play such terrible roles. Don't they read the script and see that it takes away from their fame to be associated with garbage?
GUENOT PHILIPPE Many folks seem to hate this item. I really don't understand why. OK, I agree that there are many clichés in it; for instance John Cusack - as the good American who struggles to save him and his son against the evil ones. Speaking of the evil guys, I find Morgen Freeman exquisite as the villain. This is a very unusual character for him, admit it, for God's sake. He plays here a hired gunman, a professional killer, a "shadow" mercenary working for the Government, erasing people "against progress", as he says in the movie...he leads a bunch of guys like him who have a contract on a scientist who may jeopardize the Government plans. Against progress...I won't tell the whole story, but it is surprising on many points. Believe me. Morgan Freeman is a bad guy, OK; but after the first half film, he becomes not so bad to the audience, especially in his relations with Cusack and his son. A cliché, I agree. But the very surprise, the one for which I am so amazed, is in the last thirty seconds of the film, where you are suddenly awareSPOOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERSthat Freeman will remain a cold, mechanical killing machine, despite all you saw about him and his help and protection for the real hero of the film: John Cusack. When he protected him against his own - Freeman's - fellow deadly companions.
