I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

Having not seen EL OTRO LADO DE LA CAMA I was unprepared for the song and dance routines of this film but after the initial weirdness they were wonderful additions for the most part especially in the scene with the two main leads and the talented Pilar. While American cinema seems to have lost the ability to do screwball comedies and freaks out at the though of homosexuality especially male homosexuality the Spanish do it will ease and style never taking themselves or the material too serious while not making everything end with everyone back to normal. The scenes between the two female leads will funny were also too true to lesbian relationships. All the interactions seemed genuine and there was a real charm and love of the characters and their story. The second story was funny but less necessary to the whole movie.I look forward to seeing the prequel to this.

Contrary to what some people say, I believe this sequel to "El otro lado de la cama" is much funnier than the first. I must confess I've seen both films in different order, first I saw "Los 2 lados..." and then I saw "El otro lado...", so maybe this has to do with my preference as I think it affects how the viewer reacts to the sequel. I had no idea what the first movie was about, so I watched this without prejudice and no back story, and I enjoyed it immensely. The gags are always funny, specially the ones that have the men in them, as the story lines for the two girls are the most boring, they don't really have much to work with. So, contrary to what happened in the prequel where both men and women enjoyed the same status in the movie and all of them had great lines, in this one all the weight of the plot sits on the two main actors, Ernesto Alterio (a favorite of mine) and Guillermo Toledo (a very talented Spanish actor). Even Alberto San Juan has a great role in the film and displays some of the funniest lines (my favorite: "España se acaba" which means "It's the end of Spain"). The cast is excellent and these are some of the best Spanish actors around (even though Alterio is Argentinian). I think the music numbers are far better than those of the prequel and the songs more recognizable (80s Spanish hits that bring good memories). I enjoyed the plot in this one better than "El otro lado...", i think Pedro and Javier are such a funny couple, competing all the time for girls, its almost ridiculous but their relationship is always hilarious. They will also find something about themselves that hadn't suspect before. All in all I enjoyed the sequel a lot more than the prequel which was a bit of a disappointment. You don't need to have seen the first one to enjoy this, it stands as one film alone. I highly recommend it, you'll have an hysterical time with it and the cast is gorgeous.

This movie was a huge box office success earlier this year in Spain, and given that success, I expected a little more out of it.There were some very funny moments and the songs featured were great as they were all Spanish hit songs from the last few decades. All the songs were performed by the actors themselves. But I was disappointed by the plot, there just was not enough meat to fill the 108 min and the ending seemed unrealistic. It dragged a little too long and could have been cut 20 minutes shorter.I have not seen the other movie EL OTRO LADO DE LA CAMA but I hear it was very good and much better than this one.

After watching the surprisingly good EL OTRO LADO DE LA CAMA, I expected its second part to be good, but, as usual in sequels is much worse than the first part. Thre years have passed since the first part and pairs are, at last, stable and they are going to marry. The arriving of a new girl to the group will change everything. Most of the time the film results a bit boring, as most of the jokes are bad or repetitive; and the actors are not as inspired as the other film. The plot is too much simple and it is not large enough to need 90 minutes to be told, which makes the film a little boring. On the other hand, the film has two memorable scenes that are absolutely spectacular and makes the pain of seeing the film a not-so-bad exercise. The soundtrack, anyway is spectacular, with most of the best Spanish songs of the las 30 years.
