I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
Robert Joyner
The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.

It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.

SLAM-BANG is a savage, barbarous, bloodstained grab bag of a film, but chugs along like 'The Little Malevolent Engine That Could'. Think of a Tom Tykwer project produced and directed by film students with a yen for thuggery. This extremely violent approach is more attuned to what is happening these days on the international Horror Genre scene. Never the less, SLAM-BANG is a fairly decent contribution to the genre of Gangster Noir, and does not aspire to be anything more. NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD meets RUN LOLA RUN. Three And A Half Stars. This film could have been fleshed out, and padded, but it seems that the cast and crew did the best that the could with what was available. One big 'black mark' is that the production values were on the poor side. The film had a very washed out look, and did not at all help the overall impression of the work.

Looking at the actors profile, 80% of them it's their first film. And it didn't look like it. I liked it, it's different, not bad for this type of film, the idea it's a good one, not a Hollywood ending, and I really liked that.As for the acting, they seem realistic, a little missing background story but at the end it doesn't matter.Hard to make a comment with out giving away some part of the movie, but if you like this type of movies, go for it. Rent it.If you are looking for a love story... not happening. At first I thought it was a UK film, it has that feel. A bit of South African slang that I didn't get, but I assume what it meant. My 2¢'s
