mraculeated The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
Mischa Redfern I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
Staci Frederick Blistering performances.
joelsimmons-83642 No real substance in the movie. I mean, i guess they tried to make it as real a possible..........i guess??? I can take so many issues with the actors, but i guess my main grip is the complete white washing. I mean, its 2018, why are black people only in the enemy armies? Especially when there is so much controversy that Samson himself could have been darker skinned (with locked hair). Not trying race bait.......but its 2018.....come on.
iclp93 This movie basically recorded by Israel AKA "Is Real Terrorist" to abase and insult nowadays's, you know which, nation Palestine. What they aim here is simply to show their killings nowadays innocent and to base it on a historical saga of their own. Each time "Palestine" name heard, there's agonize, cruelty and inhumanity act played by "Supposedly Palestinian", However in real life, both Jewish actors or their sympathizers . Simply Israel is trying to subliminally impact people to empathy with them while they kill innocent Palestinians in real life in front of the world eyes in 2018!
mattastic-mitchell Acting is good. Fight choreography is pretty good. The story and writing is good. The problem is the pacing and effects, oh and beards.
mallaverack For a number of reasons, making a 'religious' movie that doesn't lend itself to being lampooned or derided, must be a difficult task. Especially for stories found in the Old Testament. That is why the best-ever religious movie and the most widely viewed one is 'Life of Brian'! I loved the original 'Samson and Delilah' because it was so corny and melodramatic where even the canvas on which the fake shimmering moon was painted for a night scene, actually flapped in the breeze! And so I approached this retelling of the strong man's story with an equally mischievous intent for a good laugh - and I was not disappointed. Three stars for the camped up portrayal by the major characters, the variety of accents, the script and dubious special effects. And of course, for the entirely implausible story.
