Reviews
Stevecorp Don't listen to the negative reviews
Seraherrera The movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity
Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Aryana Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
ebiros2 I just think that Patrick Dempsey is a way under rated actor. He really pulls the lead role in any movie he's starred in. This movie is one of them.Charlie (Patrick Dempsey) gets mixed up with the son of a gangster, and although he didn't have a hand in it, the gangster's son's death gets blamed on him. Son's dad isn't exactly happy about it either, and orders his troops to go and catch this guy. He also puts 50G on his head. 50G attracts attention of local cops. They want to sell Charlie to the gang boss for the reward money. This is not Charlie's day, but he's more resourceful than you expect. As I've already mentioned, Patrick Dempsey is pretty awesome in this movie, and so is the movie itself. It's kind of funny, kind of suspenseful, and kind of exciting. All this has got lot to do with the way Charlie carries himself in this movie. The movie is unbelievably good, and I'd like to see Patrick Dempsey get more good roles like this in the future.
necron99 Patrick Dempsey runs like the wind in this humorous action packed movie. I really enjoyed this movie. It is rare when a movie with an extremely simple plot can entertain. Every scene involving Patrick Dempsey attempting to get away comes to life with a real feeling of desperation and anxiety. I can't wait for the DVD to come out(Hope Hope).
twiglet-2 Yes, I must admit I did stay up till 2:30 to see the conclusion of this film. On the whole it was a good experience, it was fast paced and well acted. On the other hand certain parts were laughably improbable. For example, can someone explain how a law student with no prior convictions can so break into and hot wire so many cars with so little effort. He also learns how to fire an Uzi remarkably quickly. High points of the film include the fairground scene where they destroy half the attractions. I was a little disappointed that the love interest sideplot fizzled out so quickly. Not a bad film at all, to be honest.
fredmant I saw this movie only once, on the small screen, but I put it in my top 10 of most anxiously awaited DVDs. A college student finds himself on the wrong side of town (intentionally), but ends up doing some very bad things (not intentionally) that make him the subject of a man hunt by a mobster who definitely doesn't respect a suspects rights. The kid has one choice -- Run! A Great Non-Stop Adrenaline Rush!
