Reviews
KnotMissPriceless Why so much hype?
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Ortiz Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Staci Frederick Blistering performances.
Prismark10 Apparently this short film has a budget of £500.00 which leads me to presume a lot of people including the cast which consists of Kate Mara, Jason Flemyng and Aneurin Barnard would had given their services for free. There is no dialogue in this short, the film lasts less than three minutes and consists of Flemyng dealing a deck of cards in a café.We then cut to a medieval scene shot in a castle in Wales as Flemyng plays a chivalrous knight who rides to fight a presumed blackguard warrior played by Barnard for the love of the Queen played by Kate Mara. After a short sword fight, Fleming rides off with the Queen and we cut back to the café and see that Flemyng is playing cards with Barnard and the last card dealt is the Queen of Hearts. Its a short which is an exercise of economy of storytelling and striking use of lighting and well crafted use of music. Obviously Chris Foggin (Director) and Tasha Black (Cinematographer) have extensive credits as assistant directors camera assistants and this is a showcase of what else they can do as well as a labour of love.
