Nabeesu falls in love with Kannan, who saved her from drowning in a river. However, this makes Jamal, her uncle, angry as he wishes to marry her and resolves to get rid of Kannan.

It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
