Incannerax What a waste of my time!!!
Lachlan Coulson This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
Quiet Muffin This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
Allissa .Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
w2pieter I bought this DVD some time ago because I have a 3 year old niece who likes this stuff. Normally she is a big fan of the old Pipi Longstocking-series (Pipi Langkous in the Netherlands) but I gave this one a try. And I can tell you it was a big hit! It is a bright movie with few scary moments (and it never gets too scared). The characters are funny, especially for the younger ones and the jokes and music is also very attractive for children. Conclusion: This clearly is not a movie for adults alone, but if you have younger kids this is the movie to see. I gave it a good '9' because I reviewed this movie through the eyes of my niece. So buy it for your children, niece or neighbor kids and you will enjoy it with them.
ikbenmoedersmooiste Pipo en de Parelridder, well i've seen it several times. Why you may ask? Simple because the children, age 4 and 7 love this movie. And that's exactly the audience this movie is made for. As an adult i can understand that and love to see the children enjoy this neat movie. No fighting included, no scary moments but instead there's some tension build in for... little children. When i was young like say 5-7 Pipo was on the television in the Netherlands. It was all black and white in those days. My brothers and sisters loved to view it just before we need to go to bed. And from that point of view and remembrance i was curious myself to see this movie. And i really was disappointed, one of the main characters that i remember from those days, was simply left out of the movie. While Kluk Kluk (that's the name) was really one of the main characters in the series. I missed Kluk Kluk very much in the movie. Well that and a too simple story made it a disappointment for me. But as i said when i started, the little children loved it a lot, and to be honest, that's the audience this movie is made for. Although i can't wait till they grow over this phase and move on to another movie genre!I gave it a 4, but to be honest if my children would have voted it probably would have been a 10
Xan3 I went to this movie with my boyfriend, the second day of Christmas. It was really nice to go to a children's movie from long ago.The colors were wonderful and bright. The characters were really authentic, like in the series and it was so nice to see Pipo again. He is so funny!!! The story is about a trip that Pipo( and of course his wife Mammaloe and his daughter) makes to his aunt, who is very afraid of scary, ghost-like sounds from an old castle. Pipo is going to solve this problem and his journey is a great adventure, with his boss and enemy Dikke Deur and his two companions who are chasing for luck and money. The characters are really wonderful, they can really make you laugh through the entire movie. The end is not really surprising but very satisfactory. Pipo en de p-p-Parelridder is a real dutch movie that makes your grey day bright again!!!!
