Payno I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Haven Kaycee It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
JamieWJackson It's a low-budget movie, so... the special effects were lame, some of the acting made me wince, some of the shots were too dark, some of the editing was confusing, etc. I'm not entirely sure why the movie was even made, although I haven't yet tried to find out, aside from just watching it once. Was it to make a statement about the UN in SE Asia? Or about how certain families pass corruption from one generation to another? Or did the writer feel like the underlying story was just too good not to make into a movie (I thought it was OK, but nothing special)? In any case, don't be expecting a masterpiece, but it's really not too bad considering the limitations. There's some violence, but not much blood or gore. I did love the way the girls' being on a soccer team gave them a chance to momentarily put their skills to use in a couple of scenes. (I don't want to say more if you haven't seen it yet; you'll see what I mean.) I'd rate it a 3 overall, but probably more like a 6 for low budget films.
