A pair of crooks on the run from the law gets more than they bargained for when they break into a seemingly abandoned house looking for a place to hole up and find that it's controlled by an evil spirit that will do anything to protect its sole, sickly resident. Suddenly, jail's not looking so bad.

Reviews
ScoobyWell Great visuals, story delivers no surprises
Gutsycurene Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.
StyleSk8r At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
Bessie Smyth Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
zurich_leader OK i watch a lot of horror movies, hell i collect horror movies and this movie made me want to cry. The plot was excellent with an interesting story that was fresh and original. That is about where it stops for me this movie actually had me sitting there forcing myself to watch it to the end, my girlfriend sat beside me asking me if we were really going to watch the whole thing over and over again. The acting was pretty bad and it all came off feeling a bit thin, the ending completely baffled me as there just didn't seem to be any logic to the story. i have no idea what the smell was meant to be or why they were stuck in a groundhog day situation, I'm stumped as to the relatively of the doll house (i thought it was an interesting idea though), Overall it just could have been better than what it was, i think if it had all been Irish it may have been better.
pudge76-1 I saw this movie because one of the actresses in it was a friend from high school. I was excited to see it for this very reason. I must say I was happy to see her in the movie, but this was an excruciating film to sit through. I felt like the person responsible for this film's creation was simply trying to put out a movie for the sake of putting out a movie. Very poor in just about every aspect I could think of. Boring and mundane. I can't imagine producing something like this. Any credibility I might have had as a film maker would be flushed right down the commode. I can't believe a product like this would even make it to the shelves of a movie store. Honestly, my kids could probably produce something more entertaining with their camcorder. Unbelievably painful to watch. Please watch paint dry. You will feel you spent your time more productively than if you watch this film. I am embarrassed to admit I watched it from beginning to end.
Irigy First of all, the poster to this movie (with the nailed hand) is very misleading, if you want to see the movie because of that - as I did. You most likely will be disappointed, since there's a similar scene in the movie, but it's by no means representative for the movie; don't expect another Saw / Hostel clone. While I liked the basic idea of the movie, the implementation was lacking in all aspects. The acting was (for this kind of B-movie) OK, some more realism in the way the cops handled their guns would have been appreciated, the effects (what little there were) were done acceptably and cutting/camera work was decent (again, you see a lot worse in the category of movies). My main problem with the movie was that there were several scenes that a) didn't make any sense towards getting the movie going or b) seemed to be a constant iteration of things that already happened / any awake viewer already understood. If you'd cut all the gratuitous scenes you might end up with a 45 min episode for Tales from the Crypt (they do have higher production standards, tough) but you wouldn't be half as bored as watching the movie as it is.The other major downer was that fact that there was no acceptable explanation for the things that happened (there was some kind of explanation, but it didn't make any sense whatsoever and left many points out).In the state the movie is I can't really recommend watching it.
lovgren1 This was one of the worst movies i have ever seen. To even call this a horror move is totally wrong, it isn't scary at all,It brings nothing new to the table. A complete waste off time. Im against fast-forwarding movies but in this case its necessary. And i read somewhere that this would not be a low budget movie .Bah! The acting is really bad.So a big warning. Don't watch this. There are so much better horror-movies out there,in the genre that they are trying to be part of. For instance Ringu,A tale of two sisters,1408 and the saw movies.Uwe Boll could have made this movie.... Enough said
