Susan had been having nightmares about a girl (Rachel) who disappeared in a nearby mansion now old and abandoned. While they are doing this 2 escaped convicts are also looking for the same treasure!

Reviews
Smartorhypo Highly Overrated But Still Good
Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
Hulkeasexo it is the rare 'crazy' movie that actually has something to say.
Teddie Blake The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
elindsay524 The rating is as I remember as a kid. I like the movie. Parts of the movie stay with me. It took me a long time to find out what the movie was called. I only remembered the plot. One scene that I remember (spoiler) when the 2 children find the secret entrance to where the treasure was hidden. What they found is what always stayed with me. They found a pit that at the bottom of contained the bones of the missing girl Rebecca. That is the one thing I remembered from the movie. Years later I can across it in my grandparents movie collection and put it on. Surprised to find it was the movie I was looking for. I liked the story. There may be faults but I wouldn't mind seeing it again to see if I still like it.
Katatonia I remember first seeing this movie on HBO once around 1985 and i was about 10 years old at the time. I personally loved the movie and thought it was exceptionally well done with a great plot and characters.I just had a chance to view this film after not being able to find it to watch for well over 15 years. I didn't even know it was released on VHS video until recently when i found it for sale cheap. With that said, i enjoyed it as much as i did when i was a kid. It reminds me a lot of "Savannah Smiles" in some ways, which is another very enjoyable family film from the 80's.I just wish they'd play this movie on TV sometimes, or at least release it on DVD!
Ryan J. Gilmer This movie has been on TV a few times and has nothing to do with the board game ("Mystery Mansion"). The story is really nothing special, but for a kids or a family flic it is at least OK. Nothing gratuitious and yet a tad adventurous, kids should like it. However, the movie does show its age and very few people in it have been in anything else, so there are better movies out there.
