Reviews
Thehibikiew Not even bad in a good way
Jenna Walter The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Zlatica One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
rogerb-391-111246 group of young men and women are traveling to an abandoned island to take part in a reality survival game run by TV channel Search Plane.Something beneath the sea attacks the boat, sinking it and the participants washed adrift safely onto the isle. Only to discover the island's hideous past and that they're not alone. Someone or something is shadowing the group. This poor excuse of a movie was incredibly a respectable success box-office wise in mainland China. Unintentionally funny with cliché-ridden script (if you can call it that), amateurish acting and laughable CGI.The makers pepper the so-called horror with gorgeous Chinese models and singers. The least they could have done to alleviate the deadly bore fest is to get the babes properly naked. Even the gore is non-existent.Avoid this one at all costs.
zmoviefan After having watched countless angry/long haired/dead/ghost child flicks in the last decade, decided to give this flick and a chance based on the synopsis and was pleasantly surprised. One of the most entertaining Asian flicks I've seen in a long time.Reality show contestants and host travel to island and soon are chased by savage pigs and taunted by angry ghosts at an old mansion/monastery.The end result is not scary, just a fun ride with lots of chases, things exploding, screaming girls and things that go bump in the night. There are a few slow moments when the characters just talk among themselves, but overall SOMETHING is almost always going on. And get this: some of the characters speak Cantonese, some Japanese and some English yet all seem to understand each other. Loved that!Favorite scene: scared girl throws rock into the woods to scare away whatever might be near and before you can say ghost, rocks fly at her stoning her to death!
