Reviews
ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Steven Stultz This movie is a great insight into a man who gave so much for his fellow SEALs and his countrymen. It shows the sacrifices and hardships that he went through to ear the right to wear the golden Trident that a select few can accomplish. If you know the real back story of why these men were there doing a recognizance mission to capture a man who was butchering soldiers as well as his fellow Afghanis then you know these men are all heroes. The movie gave you a great insight into the type of person he was from the words of family and friends. Sadly some review without knowing anything on the actual topic at hand. Highly recommend it to anyone. There is also a book written about him that if you enjoy the movie you would enjoy the book as well. It also conveys the heroic acts that are talked about in the movie.
kevinwg This is an extremely well done piece that simply aimed to show the life of someone who risked his life to try and save his brothers. It wasn't political or propaganda or anything else. I wonder if some of these people leaving reviews even watched the movie or just saw what it was about and started anti-war rhetoric. If the NY Times gave it a good review, and they're always first to criticize military action, it should say something. Just a good insight into the types of people we send to war... What they believe in and what they're willing to give up to try and bring each other home.
Ed Loucks A careful study of how protecting the world from idiots who love chaos costs all of us. Direct and to the point this movie could and should be shown in schools across the USA as a lesson in the price we ask our sons and daughters to pay for our Freedom. A true work of art. For too many the 10 plus years of The War on Terrorism has become the story and not the lives lost on September 11th. This remarkable story will take you through the emotions of that day and the price our soldiers choose to pay, right up through the ultimate price that so many have paid. The citizens of the USA have the right to see films like this because for more than 250 years young men have defended our right to it for us.
Gary Williams This documentary should serve as a source of encouragement to others who are contemplating honoring our heroes in a similar way. Executive Producer Scott Mactavish brought together those who knew LT Michael Murphy best and allowed them to tell you the type of individual he was. The documentary expands and builds upon LT Murphy biography, SEAL of Honor: Operation Red Wings and the Life of LT Michael P. Murphy, USN by allowing viewers to see and feel the emotion from those who appear on camera as well as those who were unknown or unavailable when the biography was written. Suitable for viewers of all ages, it is an excellent feature documentary that is not only appropriate, but recommended for young people trying to navigate their way through our modern culture's peer pressure.
