Reviews
Protraph Lack of good storyline.
Stoutor It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
StyleSk8r At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
OllieSuave-007 Is this second sequel to Pom Pom, Hong Kong detectives Chau and Beethoven join forces with Mr. Boo, played by comic legend Michael Hui) in a daring mission involving a jewelry heist and a museum caper. While the fun, physical comedy of Chau and Beethoven and tripled with Mr. Boo in the picture, much of the movie's plot lacks the captivation of the first two movies, as the story is sometimes lost in the uninteresting subplot of the relationship between Mr. Boo and his snobby and unfaithful wife. From what I remember, the action takes a while to generate much excitement and it seemed the detectives couldn't gain much traction in their cases at times. While it's not a horrible movie and the acting was decent, this sequel doesn't come to par with the other films in the series.Grade C-
