Reviews
Linbeymusol Wonderful character development!
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Sienna-Rose Mclaughlin The movie really just wants to entertain people.
Roxie The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
aaronbir this movie is a real blockbuster it was so entertaining i am not actually kidding this is a decent watchjimmy was excellent as always that how he is a PUNJABI superstar the newcomer shines in his debut film his performance was really good jimmy and the other actor are my favorite as all the time Nehru is another topper the other singer did good in his special guest appearance this is worth watching do not miss thisthe music songs are amazing the love story is great and the comic scenes are just superb other actors performed well in their stage 4/5 and 8/10 my review
westsideschl DVD: Although the cover says in large print that it has English subtitles in trying two different DVD players I was unable to come up with either Special Features or subtitles. The movie did display for it's entire length in the upper left corner the word KUMAR for Kumar Films. At least advertising works. Movie: Really bad acting, even for Bollywood. The dances were just standing with a bit of movement unlike the usual choreographed and intricate Bollywood dancing. Excessive, garish colors for clothing. Color is a part of Hindi culture but the colors in this film looked like a child's limited palette of just a few plain, with little or no patterns, bright colors. Songs not up to India standards. The movie's theme has an American West Side story style gang rivalry with the clothing and hair styles and fighting with field hockey sticks. The fights looked like '30s slapstick comedy where any swing that comes within a foot (30 cm) results in an exaggerated reaction from the poor recipient. Usual love triangle and marriage scenes.
jippy07 The movie is no doubt an entertaining package blending comedy substance in a love story efficiently.Moreover the Punjabi rough-toughness made the watchable.but still it,like other Punjabi movies of the era,'does not fulfill the international(well not even national) standards of a quality movie. At first place it was based on a very weak plot.Secondly it encountered very poor direction(in one scene at college you see uncontrolled fans standing around sets,taking pictures stars,and that too even after the final cut) Even when compared to Desi productions like 'Nanak Nam Jahaaz','Shaheed E Azam' this movie stand nowhere around near miles.But not forget that movie has made to know the industry Punjabi movies are still in demand.
Jaskaran Bawa So, Oh my God!! After such a long time I watched such a beautiful Punjabi movie. Let me say this if you have high expectations from the movie you will not be disappointed. The characters are lovable from the beginning. The songs are mesmerizing and soothing at the same time. One instantly feels a connection with the characters and that feeling lasts the total of 2hrs 15mins.In Punjabi community/culture most marriages as a rule are set off through the fixed process or some traditional ceremonies like "Rok", "Shagan" and "Mangani" and finally the Marriage. This movie describes the story of 2 young people, Jimmy Shergill & Neeru Bajwa, whose marriage has been fixed by their parents. There is Drama, there is comedy, there are lots of one liners and there are lots of Romantic moments. Director has a done a wonderful job depicting the Punjabi culture and different places of Punjab. I had only one problem with the movie that the end was a bit too Dramatic. Other than that it was a time well spent watching the movie.I should say if you are a fan of romantic movies then this one should not be missed!!!
